I think so. Just a sensor on the fork and a magnet on the wheel. It seems quite a common solution among (motor)bikers to use a bicycle-computer. The manufacturers of the bicycle-computers generally seems to have updated the speed-range of their products to fit motorcycles. The one I bought covers up to 320 km/h (about 200 mph).
